Whiskey Girl's 8th Anniversary Party

Whiskey Girl, located at 702 5th Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter, is hosting their 8th Anniversary Party on Wednesday, November 13th 2013. Whiskey Girl is one of the longest running venues in the Historic Gaslamp Quarter and has been listed in Nightclub & Bars Top 100, 2012.


The 8th Anniversary Party is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13th. The fun and festivities begin at 7 p.m. by invitation only. The party is open to the public at 9 p.m.


Whiskey Girl will transform their venue on the corner of 5th and G Street into a Southern Comfort Cherry Poppin Wonderland with a red carpet, red cherry lanterns, a red candy station and guests in classic red and black attire. David Schiffman, one of the owners of Whiskey Girl said, We want to thank all the past and present patrons, employees and partners of Whiskey Girl for giving us 8 fantastic years. We look forward to continuing to give the Gaslamp the best in entertainment for years to come!

Build Your Own Lunch Box, a Chef Brad Hightow created was designed for a convenient weekday lunch for those on the go. Combinations include salads, soups, and sandwiches.


Whether it's fitting in lunch between your busy San Diego convention schedule or a bustling day of business in the Gaslamp Quarter, the Whiskey Girl Build Your Own Lunch Box is the perfect solution and with a $10 price point its a Downtown deal hard to beat.

Whiskey Girl Reinvents Menu and Dining Experience

Whiskey Girl, one of the longest running venues in the Historic Gaslamp Quarter, has launched a revamped, expansive new menu that will appeal to a wider array of casual diners and nightlife-goes alike.


Chef and Restaurateur Brad Anderson, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, was brought in as a consultant to create a fresh and fun menu that encompasses Whiskey Girls energetic atmosphere and new design elements. "My goal was to create original menu items to help elevate the venue out of the shadow of bar-food and become a relevant dining location to a more diverse crowd of ever changing Gaslamp Quarter patrons, said Brad Anderson.


The contemporary menu features high quality fresh ingredients, vibrant flavors, unexpected textures and unique food combinations. We wanted everything on this menu to reflect Whiskey Girls new image; a pop-art inspired, casual and fun atmosphere, said Chief Operating Officer David Schiffman. Several signature dishes suggested by the Chef are:


Whiskey Burger- Whiskey basted lb. Angus beef burger topped with cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon, Philly sirloin steak, sauted onions and mozzarella cheese on a Whiskey Girl branded bun served with a shot of Jack Daniels. Must be 21 or older to order No Kidding.


Seared Ahi Salad- Sesame ginger crusted seared Ahi, served rare, spring mix greens, julienne vegetables and tomatoes tossed with sesame ginger vinaigrette.Suggested Pairing; Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay


Santa Fe Tostada Burger- Angus beef burger, Chorizo, pepper jack cheese, crispy tortilla, avocado, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, red onion and chipotle mayo on a Whiskey Girl branded bun. Suggested Pairing; Blue Moon Belgian White.


Cowboy Pasta- Marinated grilled skirt steak or grilled chicken breast, fire roasted tomato sauce, garlic, onions, jalapenos, beer, tumbleweed onions and a touch of hot sauce over linguine. Suggested Pairing: Dos Equis


Breakfast dishes around $7, served all day. Lunch and Dinner entrees range in price from $9-$20, full menu available until 11:00pm. Special Late Night Menu from 11:00pm-12:30am. Happy Hour Monday-Friday 4:00pm-8:00pm offering $3 wells, drafts and select wine as well as off select appetizers.

After graduating from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, Brad continued his education at Florida International University, School of Hotel and Restaurant Management where he received his Bachelor of Science. With more than 30 years experience as a restaurant professional, Anderson has used his talent and education to improve restaurant performance and success. He has impressed colleagues with strong leadership and creative solutions while delighting customers with his culinary ability, passion for food, superior service and fine wine. Chef Brad will be embarking on an exciting new journey this summer as General Manager of The Range Kitchen & Cocktails at The Market Place, Irvine.

Local booth session Innovative concepts are no stranger to David Schiffman, managing partner of the all-new Whiskey Girl located at 702 5th Ave in the Gaslamp Quarter. Its clear why this venue has emerged as one of the Nations Top Nightclub & Bars, according to NCB Magazine. With the Grand Opening of the bigger and better location earlier this year, a state-of-the-art self contained Karaoke Booth was also introduced - delighting Whiskey Girls long time Karaoke fans.


We have introduced San Diego to a new and innovative way to enjoy the Karaoke experience said David Schiffman. Karaoke- goers now have a private space that at times, has held up to 12 people in one session, real-time photos and the integration of sharing via social media.

Upon arrival at the booth, you will be greeted by the Pink Ladies - Whiskey Girls Party Ambassadors. The ladies will answer any questions you have about the booth and are always anxious to hop in and provide back up vocals. The touch screen easily guides users through a few simple steps, then pick your song (currently there are 50 tunes to choose from), and sing your heart out.


After your session its time to strike a pose for a series of 4 photos, which can then be instantly emailed to six different email addresses. Within that email is the option to share photos on Facebook or Twitter to let your friends know you Rocked It At Whiskey Girl. In addition to the social media integration, Whiskey Girl has created a Karaoke Micro-Site to which all session photos are uploaded in real-time and available for party- goers to view or share via the Whiskey Girl website.


We want to offer our customers an added value to every Whiskey Girl visit, and the Karaoke booth does just that, said General Manager Jerry Lopez. There is no charge for this Karaoke experience and the Karaoke Booth is available during normal operating hours. The booth can also be reserved for private parties.

Whiskey Girl is one of the longest-running venues in the Historic Gaslamp Quarter, and has been listed in Nightclub & Bars Top 100, 2012. The Grand Opening VIP Party is scheduled for Thursday, February 23, 2012. The fun and festivities begin at 7 p.m. by invitation only. The party is open to the public at 9 p.m., with invite.


Whiskey Girl was able to transform to the new venue on the corner of 5th & G Street, within 71 days with support from the City of San Diego and contractors. We want to let our regulars know that Whiskey Girl is still the same, shes just new and improved and better than ever, said David Schiffman, one of the owners of Whiskey Girl. Schiffman goes on to say, With upgrades throughout, our guests will hear, see and taste the difference, setting an unparalleled restaurant and nightclub experience.


The new Whiskey Girl spans 8,500 square feet, offers seating for 250 and has a capacity of approximately 450 guests. The space also includes a dance floor and a self contained photo and karaoke booth that allows users to share photos via social media sites. Whiskey Girl features a casual atmosphere, spirited staff, and a friendly vibe. Subscribing to premier sports packages, patrons can catch all the games on one of the 30 plus TV screens, a large LED screen is the focal point in the dining/bar area.
